July twelfth kicked off the first of our summer music buffets. The morning dawned bright and sunny, but as the day went on, dark storm clouds appeared on the horizon, threatening the evening’s event. Undaunted, the staff at Blind Channel got to work rearranging tables and chairs on the patio, hopeful that the storm would pass by. Their efforts were rewarded when warm summer winds pushed the clouds away revealing a beautiful blue sky in their stead, just in time for the buffet to begin.
Joining us for a second year in a row was Luke Blu Guthrie, who once more brought his unique spin on classics, in addition to his well-versed original songs to the mix. Nearly everyone got up to their feet to dance, and we even had some four-legged friends joining in on the more upbeat songs.
Faced with his first buffet night at Blind Channel, Chef Alex Barton and his kitchen produced a wonderful spread of seafood, poultry, and seasonal vegetables, followed up by a decadent dessert.
